Case Study 1
St. Ann’s School
Overview
Client: Yorke Construction
Completed: June 2018
Contract Bid: $3.4mm
Description
St. Ann’s School is a Brooklyn-based independent school and historical landmark that required a substantial retrofit of the building’s mechanical system.
To modernize the building’s HVAC system, Mamre installed a 190-ton chiller, a 60-ton energy recovery air handler, and completed a steam boiler retrofit.
Mechanical installations within historical buildings are typically complex because they require working within strict architectural constraints. Mamre’s approach to problem-solving through the installation phase ensured that the building was upgraded to a 21st-century mechanical system while respecting the limitations provided by the historical landmark, and ensuring the project was completed in time for the start of the school year.
Equipment
190 ton Trane chiller
60 ton Energy Recovery Air Handler
